Champagne Blend is a name used for sparkling wines made from any one or more of the classic grape varieties used in Champagne: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. The most common combination by far is Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in roughly equal parts; Pinot Meunier really only comes into play in real, pure-blooded Champagne. In Champagne itself, the appellation laws actually permit seven grape varieties, not just the famous three. The remaining four are so rarely used that they are typically forgotten, and are almost never used outside Champagne. For the record, they are: Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Petit Meslier and Arbane.
