Matured for ten to fifteen years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks and thirty year old Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks from Gonzalez Byass, The Dalmore "Cigar Malt Reserve" is an aromatic, full-bodied expression meant to be paired with a fine cigar. The nose opens with inviting aromas of fig, cocoa, orange and raisin, followed by rich sherry notes and a gentle smokiness. The palate is big, bold and rich, offering robust flavors of dark chocolate, raisin, citrus peel, tropical fruit, vanilla, Oloroso sherry and spice. Notes of ginger, licorice, oak and charcoal emerge on the long, balanced finish.
