Rebel Reserve bourbon, like it's younger cousin Rebel Yell, is meant to invoke Southern sympathies for the "old South." The brand has been around since 1849 but for a period of dormancy prior to 1961. It is a "wheated" bourbon, meaning after the requisite corn, it will have a higher-than-usual percentage of wheat, which tends to soften and smooth a flavor profile. It is slightly older and bottled at a higher proof of 90.6 than Rebel Yell.
