Our True American Amber Rum begins with our Grade A Molasses and Real Boiled Brown Sugar. After a double distillation, it is aged in either charred, new American oak, used Privateer rum, bourbon, or brandy barrels for a minimum of 2 and up to 6 years. The rum is then blended for added depth, complexity and balance before it again rests in finishing casks until it reaches full maturity and integration.
We bottle the spirit unfiltered and unsweetened to highlight all the flavor, complexity, and
texture we've worked hard to achieve. The finished rum evokes flavors of hazelnut, shortbread, orange zest, almond, dried cherry, vanilla bean, and tobacco.
