Moulin is a French vodka made in the Charente region of France (a place known for wine and brandy). The name "Jean-Paul" is the grandfather of Darcourt's master distiller Jean-Marc Darcourt and meant to be a tribute to that gentleman. Like many French vodkas, it is made from a base of wheat, which tends to imply a soft, approachable vodka--they make a note that their wheat is grown in the "plaine de la Beauce" region of France. It is blended down with Pyrnees mountain water, oxygenated, and given a traditional charcoal filtration for clarity before bottling.
