Kaiyo Whisky “The Sheri” is a limited release, and considered by Kaiyō's master blender to be the finest work of his career. “The Sheri” is aged in a combination of Mizunara Oak, Oloroso sherry, and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. All of our whiskies are made from malted barley, un-chillfiltered, and enjoy a three-month ocean maturation that helps bring out the unique flavors that can only be obtained from Mizunara Oak.
Tasting Notes:
On the nose, this whisky is sweet and seductive with aromas of toffee, figs and fresh strawberries. On the palate, this whisky is full-bodied and expertly balanced between the richness of the dark fruit and nuttiness from the Oloroso, the exotic spices and toasted oak from the Mizunara Oak, and the finish of fresh fruit, jam and cocoa from the Pedro Ximenez.
