High West is Utah’s first distillery, born in 1879. High West created The 36th Vote Barreled Manhattan to commemorate Utah's role in the repeal of Prohibition.
This 74-proof Manhattan uses the pre-Prohibition recipe of two parts rye whiskey to one part sweet vermouth and two dashes of bitters. This Manhattan tastes of muddled dried fruit, vinous liquor, spicy rye whiskey, and chocolate covered cherry with a subtle spiced fruit and slightly sweet finish.
Best enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or stirred and strained with an orange or lemon garnish.
