Produced in Korea, presumably bulk shipped to Taiwan and bottled, this spirit defines itself as "Asian Vodka and spirits distilled from polished rice & barley." Sounds a bit like Soju to me (a native form of vodka/grain alcohol made in Korea) but the name Soju wouldn't get it very far here. Not many people here have heard of Soju and those who have - well let's just say French Marc and Italian Grappa engenders the same feelings - which is why a number of distilled beverages have embraced the vodka name rather than a more correct regional one.
