As befits a classic Speyside malt, the taste is smooth, warming and rounded with a good firm body. Lots of sweet, soft malty flavours evolve in the centre of the palate, surrounded by toffee and mouth watering fruits (blackcurrants and dried apricots). Boiling sweets reach the roof of the mouth before the emergence of liquorice, tea and nut oil. Finishes with toffee, blackcurrants and a hint of liquorice remains into the finish which is medium in length.
