Darnley’s View London Dry Gin

Darnley's View is named after the union of Mary Queen of Scots and her husband, Lord Darnley, whom she spied on through the courtyard window of Wemyss Castle in 1565. Their union resulted in the birth of a prince who later became known for uniting the thrones of England and Scotland. Darnley's son can be seen as a symbol for Darnley's View – a symbol of our desire to combine the very best of English and Scottish distilling practices in order to create a truly unique gin. Darnley's View is a modern, yet traditionally styled London Dry Gin. This wheat based, small batch gin is made in the time-honored tradition of redistilling the botanicals with a four times distilled spirit in a pot still. Botanicals mixed in include juniper, elderflower, lemon peel, orris root, angelica root and coriander – all of which produce a flavorful gin with a delicate finish. Darnley's View Gin is well rounded and smooth, with a warm finish. It is best enjoyed neat, on the rocks or in cocktails. Wine Enthusiast, 93 Points
