1821 was the year in which Mexico achieved its independence from Spain as a sovereign Republic, signaling the start of a new endeavor to make the country flourish. 1821 Tequila is made with 100% Blue Weber Agave and aged for 36 months in small second-fill American oak casks that were previously used for bourbon to allow an amber colored tone with copper hints. This complex Tequila evokes sweet aromas of cooked agave, accented by spicy notes of cinnamon, pepper, clove and half notes of smokey oak and herbs, combined with fruity aromas, such as coffee walnut, apple and green pineapple. The palate includes smoke and oak flavors, featuring walnut, almond, vanilla and cooked agave. The finish denotes fine citrus and herbal strands, along with soft floral, chocolate, cinnamon and pepper notes. Enjoy sipped neat at room temperature.
