The nose is quite full and well-balanced. There are notes of freshly cut fruit salad; notes of crème anglaise with muscavado sugar; hints of burnt sugar and winter spice with buttery aged Haitian rum and a touch of chewy oak with a soft grape note. The palate is of medium-body and quite viscous. There are notes of pineapple, guava and apple with a touch of lemon juice. There are notes of vanilla spice and fudge with a touch of Demerara sugar and thick cream. The finish is quite full and long with a good sweetness.

The finish is of medium-length and well-balanced with a refined subtlety.

This is the 16 year old single malt Scotch whisky from the Tomintoul distillery, matured in selected bourbon casks. It was crafted by fourth generation distiller, Robert Fleming. Rather elegant and flavoursome, this one.
Nose: Medium-body and well-balanced. There are notes of vanilla fudge and barley. Tones of malt extract and espresso, hints of mochaccino and oak.
Tomintoul 14 Year is elegant, round, soft and gentle. Clean malt with some creamy sweetness. Long and creamy, tending to dry with slight peppery tones. On the nose there is a smell of Delicate, soft and creamy with light floral malt and some sweetness.
