Our bourbon cream is blended with the finest New York State ingredients into every bottle: Bourbon, Cream and Maple Syrup. Simply delicious. Our cream comes from family-sourced farms in the Finger Lakes and Western New York. We use grade “A” dark maple syrup from our friends at Madava Farm in the Hudson Valley. Crown Maple is a robust, organic maple syrup with notes of graham crackers, toasted pecans and a hint of warm spice. At the center of it all is the Bourbon. Our Master Distiller selects each barrel for the right balance of cinnamon, vanilla and caramel to give you that warm hug on the inside.
Made from 100% corn and distilled in nearby upstate New York, this is light on the palate, with a nice, smooth finish.
Located in the historic town of Roscoe, New York, in a newly renovated 1929 firehouse, our distillery was inspired by the history of the United States, the peoples will, and the art of libations itself. For it was on that fateful day of January 16th 1920, when the 18th Amendment was enacted and outlawed the sale of liquor, that the heyday of American spirits was born. Within a few short weeks, underground networks were fully operational, supplying booze to every corner of the United States. Even the five U.S. Presidents who served our nation during Prohibition kept an ample supply on hand at the White House. Those suppliers, known as Bootleggers, Rumrunners and Moonshiners, risked everything to whet the appetite of a nation suddenly gone “dry”. Their customers were everywhere, they were the politicians, parents, teachers, and local businessmen who when told by their government, that they could no longer have a drink, decided to take matters into their own hands and source liquor from those crafty suppliers. This period, also known as the Jazz age, or better yet, “The Roaring 20’s” was a time in American history that brought many freedoms to the forefront. For the first time in American history, women were allowed to drink publicly with men in bars, whose very existence was forbidden. Six months into this prolific period women victoriously earned the right to vote under the 19th Amendment. In the end, some 14 years after it’s beginning, we enacted the 21st Amendment repealing Prohibition, as we discovered it was better to imbibe than to implore. Here’s to that enduring spirit, the reason we brought our fine liquor and distillery to life, and to you today. A hearty cheers and bottoms-up America!
Yes, we make our Bourbon in New York. Bourbon must be produced in the U.S., made from a grain mixture that is at least 51% corn, distilled to no more than 160 proof (80% abv), aged in new charred oak barrels, entered into the barrel for aging at no more than 125 proof (62.5% abv), and bottled at 80 proof or higher. Bourbon has no specified state of origin or length of aging. So, we call ours Bootlegger 21 New York Bourbon. It’s made from 100% New York corn mash. We pot distill our Bourbon then age it in new charred toasted oak barrels until we feel they’re ready.
