Created in 2004, Green Tea Vodka was the first of its kind in the vodka market. In spring, 4 varieties of rare, first growth, whole-leaf green teas are picked in Anhwei Province, China and delivered to our Distillery. We dry them lightly, then dedicate 120 days to extracting the true flavor from the leaves. What you'll taste is pure green tea.
Each winter, Marko selects organically grown, tree-ripened Blood Oranges from Central CA. The oranges are delivered to our distillery to be crushed - skins and all - to extract the juice, as well as the bitters and essential oils from the skins. Making our intense Blood Orange flavor extraction takes nearly 6 months. The flavor extraction is then integrated into our award-winning Clear Vodka. What you taste are 100% real Blood Oranges - free of the artificial flavors, essences and so-called natural flavors found in most flavored spirits today. Enjoy.
We created this flavor in 1999, following the success of our Meyer Lemon. Our tree-ripened Ruby Red Grapefruit from farmers in Rio Grande, TX are picked and delivered to our Distillery within 36 hours. For a true flavor of the fruit, the grapefruits are shredded, zest and all, then put through a 70-day extraction process. What you taste is 100% real, freshly picked Ruby Red Grapefruit - as pure as the fruit itself!
Created in 2002, Charbay Clear Vodka is distilled one time, from 100% pure grain sourced directly from farmers in the Midwest. Distilled in a 4-Column Still, to Marko's very specific instructions, it is smooth, well-rounded and pure tasting from the beginning. No need for charcoal or diamond dust filtration, so we don't do it.
Launched in 1998, Meyer Lemon was the first 100% fresh fruit flavored vodka in the US. Only made once a year, from organically grown, tree-ripened Meyer Lemons from Lemon Cove in CA. Within 24 hours of being picked they are delivered to our Distillery. For a true flavor of the fruit, the lemons are shredded, zest and all, then put through a 68-day extraction process. What you taste is 100% real, freshly picked Meyer Lemon - as if you are biting into the whole fruit!
Charbay Whiskey was made from European Two-Row Barley, grown and malted in British Columbia, which has much more concentrated flavors than the more mainstream 6-row barley. Made into beer by professional brewers. Choice hops were added just before distillation to create the floral and spice notes that Marko envisioned in his mind. No peat was used during malting; our brewers, as well as Marko and Miles, the distillers, prefer to focus on the pure grain and hops flavors. Aged 6 years in new American White Oak barrels (charred #3 'Gator skin') and an additional 8 years in netural vessels to continue evolving without additional oak extraction.
With a backbone of Stout, double distilled then aged for 29 months in French oak, Marko expertly entices aromas of dried apricot & honeysuckle, a rich palate of roasted coffee, chocolate malt freshened with orange zest, and a perfect finish of brown spice, dark malt and lingering traces of dry oak.
