We start with the same base as our Vodka and use a combination of Maceration and Vapor distillation of Valencia oranges grown right here locally in Orange County at the Heritage Museum of Orange County.
While organic Durum Wheat was the primary ingredient, you’ll get a hint of flavor from the malted barley that was added to the mash bill. Our Vodka was double distilled, as we wanted to keep the stunning earthiness that transfers to your glass.
Blinking Owl Gin features a total of 12 Botanicals. It is a beautiful, complex California botanical-style gin. The primary flavors are Juniper, Hibiscus (as it is the flower of Santa Ana), Lemon Peel, Orange Peel, and Sage. It is distilled in house from grain to glass.
Inspired during a visit to Norway, We embarked on making an Aquavit reminiscent of the traditions of Norway with our California expression. Our beautiful aquavit went on vacation in late harvest wine barrels we sourced from Napa, California. This batch of barrel vacationed of Aquavit vacationed for 22 months. It is full of baking spice, dill, golden honey and Awesome.
Blinking Owl’s wheated bourbon uses wheat from the Imperial Valley and corn from the Sacramento Valley. Aged for two years in American white oak from the Ozarks, there are notes of vanilla, caramel, smoke and chocolate on the nose.
