Hennessy-XO-Gift-Set
Since its founding in 1765, Hennessy has been guided by a passion to craft the world’s finest Cognacs - our drive to Never Stop. Never Settle. Hennessy Cognac is crafted with a strict set of standards defined by the Master Blender Renaud Fillioux de Gironde and handed down from generation to generation. However, when it comes to enjoying Cognac, we haven’t followed any rules since 1765. Created in 1870 by Maurice Hennessy for his circle of close friends, Hennessy X.O was the first “Extra Old” Cognac ever invented and established the category. In 1947, Gérald de Geoffre designed the first Hennessy X.O decanter, whose distinctive form is still familiar to us today. Its silhouette is a tribute to the pyramid-like forms of the grape bunches that give birth to the Cognac eaux-de-vie. Hennessy X.O's intense and deep amber color is a sign of its strength. Its flavors of candied fruit and its subtle and lightly spicy nose create a complete harmony: a mark of its power and roundness. To taste, a smooth, full sensation gives a simultaneously powerful and soft tonality with a hint of cocoa and a warm, fruity presence. The long finish expresses all the complexity of the cognac’s blending and its long ageing process. Best enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or with a splash of soda water..

A gift pack containing a bottle of Hennessy XO and a pair of glasses to share it from. The original 'extra-old' Cognac, first bottled in 1870 by Maurice Hennessy for family and friends. Darker and much more complex than the VSOP, with appealing leather and tobacco notes and a touch of spice – a great cigar Cognac.

#12. Cognac Park XO Cigar Blend Vieille Fine Champagne

Cognac-Park-XO-Cigar-Blend-Vieille-Fine-Champagne
Cognac and cigars have always been enjoyed together. In fact, many cognacs are described as having a cigar box or tobacco aromatic note. Thus, Maison Tessendier set out to make a Cognac that was unabashedly cigar-friendly, which means it’s a Cognac of high intensity, with a big, fruity character. Much of that comes from aging; to create Park XO Cigar Blend, Distillerie Tessendier blends Cognacs from Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne that have been in the barrels with a medium toast, for a minimum of 30 years, predominantly in humid cellars. The Cognac Park brand was created in 1995 and, at that time, was a new project between the Tessendier family and Dominic Park, a Scotsman who sought out the Tessendier family for their generations of experience in the Cognac trade. The distillery itself was founded in 1880, when Gaston Tessendier tended his family vineyards located in the prestigious growing area of the Borderies, acting on his ambition to create outstanding Cognac. Single-mindedly, Gaston learned to work his vineyards and later, with the help of his son, began distillation of his wines. The company has remained in the Tessendier family through four generations. Today, the current family estate remains at Domaine Du Buisson, its original site, housing the family’s vineyards and winery. It is composed of more than 25 hectares in the heart of one of the most exclusive growing regions, the Borderies.

Cognac-Park-XO-Grande-Champagne-Traditional-Reserve
The grapes for this blend are grown exclusively in Grande Champagne, recognized as the premiere growing region of Cognac and known for producing fine and delicate eaux-de-vie that have exceptional aging potential, often requiring many years to develop full aromatic richness. After spending one year aging in new oak barrels, the eaux-de-vie are transferred to used oak with medium toast, spending a minimum of 20 years aging prior to blending. Tesseron-Cognac-XO-Exception-Lot-No.-29
Four stars and "Highly Recommended" by F. Paul Pacult of Spirit Journal: "Bronze/copper/ topaz color; ideal purity. This aroma owns a similar nut paste/oak scent as the Lot No. 53; with further air exposure, the bouquet takes on an orangy/citrusy leaning as the smell turns fruiter the more it aerates; lovely and compelling. The palate entry is supple, fruity sweet, and ripe; the midpalate stage highlights melded flavors of light caramel, marzipan, and nougat. Ends up oaky sweet, lightly spiced, and satiny. Like this cognac very much."

#18. Kelt Cognac XO

Kelt-Cognac-XO
Kelt XO is the legend that launched the KELT company. Mr. Kelt wanted to recreate the XOs that he knew in the 1960s and 1970s but improve on them. He went about this in his usual way of extreme attention to detail which some today misname OCD. The proof came early when the KELT XO was the only XO ever (or since) to win a Platinum medal in the International Wine and Spirits Competition. For many years Mr. Kelt made only the KELT XO until he could perfect other blends to his exacting standards. This cognac is the epitome of the KELT company reason for being : to recreate a quality that used to exist by traditional methods and thereby providing the consumer with extreme quality at reasonably affordable prices. The KELT XO is a very complex blend of 21 different venerable Grande Champagne cognacs which combine to make our XO a quality well above its grade, even two grades above. Once the blending is completed we embark on the Tour du Monde. This is the legendary 3 month Ocean Maturation exclusive to KELT which brings out hidden qualities in the Limousin oak and rounds off the cognac in a beautiful and unique way making the KELT cognac the smoothest on the market while presenting a remarkably broad pallet of tastes and aromas. We use our extensive experience and stock of Limousin oak barrels in the most creative way to get the maximum effect from the Ocean Maturation. For our Commodore we use barrels of between 12-18 years of a particular quality and history. The exact composition and details are a closely guarded secret know only to two persons within the company. The blending and Tour du Monde puts our XO in a tasting age somewhere in the EXTRA quality.

Hennessy-XO-Cognac-Limited-Edition
In 1870, Maurice Hennessy created Hennessy X.O for his circle of friends and introduced a new style of cognac. Hennessy X.O is the Original, the emblematic icon of the Hennessy Maison. Deep and powerful, the eaux-de-vie of this Hennessy X.O cognac are aged in young barrels and marked out by their power and energy, but also by their capacity to achieve a great roundness through time. Our Tasting Committee has explored every facet of the blend and identified several emotions that were assimilated to an Odyssey through 7 chapters: Sweet Notes: The palate is warmly embraced by flavors of candied fruit. Rising Heat: The intriguing sensation of an intense, rising heat slowly reveals the complex taste of eaux-de-vie patiently aged in oak barrels. Spicy Edge: Perception of a strong spicy cognac note, tantalising the lips and palate with its distinct peppery flavor intertwined with a hint of chocolate. Flowing Flame: A wave of warmth grows, crests and then breaks. A robust presence, full and voluptuous, is felt. Chocolate Lull: There is the gradual discovery of something very familiar. It is the well-rounded flavor of a rich, dark chocolate. Wood Crunches: A striking sensation is suddenly felt – the vigorous ebb and flow of oak notes interlaced with vanilla. Infinite Echo: The evanescent oak notes leave a long, omnipresent finish in their wake. Seemingly endless, it echoes all of the subtleties of each taste and sensation that has preceded it.
