A silver medal winner in the 2020 Great American Beer Festival®, Hefeweizen is a pale, hazy, Bavarian-style wheat ale with bready malt flavors, low bitterness, fruity banana esters and spicy clove-like phenols. Its distinct fruity-spice character is produced entirely by a pure Hefeweizen yeast strain from Andechs, a Bavarian monastery brewery. In German, Hefeweizen means "yeast wheat." Hefe translates to "yeast" in English, and Weizen translates to "wheat."
