Petrus Aged Pale is a 100% beer from our foeders. Michael Jackson, the beer hunter, chose the name in the late 1990s – and he was the first to sell this beer in his beer clubs. Today, it is still the reference for sour beers in the US. Petrus Aged Pale has won multiple gold medals in beer competitions worldwide. Moreover, ever since the start of the brewery, the beer has been used as a blending-beer with other beers to give them fresh, slightly sour flavors and aromas.
Petrus Aged Red is constructed from a base of Double Brown Ale. 15% Petrus Aged Pale is added to provide a dry character to the brew and give it a slight sour essence. Finally the brewer adds fresh cherries, which are evident in the rich thick head. Petrus Aged Red is a perfect blend of sweet and sour with a cherry undertone which makes this brew remarkably drinkable at 8.5% ABV.
POUR HARD!! This Quadruple is brewed with 5 different types of malts and one peeled and roasted barley. We used nitrogen instead of CO2 for a better result. Nitrogen provides a rounder taste and a better mouthfeel. Cheers!
Petrus 1894 is brewed with 30% Barrel Aged Petrus Aged Pale and with hops from the 3 great hops growing beer cultures in Europe. Golding from the UK, Saaz from Czech and Tettnang Tettnanger from Germany. The hops are pitched 4 times and the beer is then dry hopped. The flavor is dry and fresh, much like Champagne or Sparkling wine. It is 8% ABV and is refremented in the bottle with the Br. Brabandere proprietary yeast.
Petrus Double Brown Ale is a top-fermented dark beer. Brewed with pure spring water and carefully selected hops and malts. The dark beer with its subtle and slightly caramelized flavour is preferably served cool.
