Five Fin is named for the five ocean-going species of fish that benefit from the Salmon SuperHwy Project. This comprehensive effort works to reconnect ocean-going fish species with their spawning habitat. As long-time advocates for this amazing place, Pelican Brewing Company donates a portion of proceeds from every barrel of Five Fin to the Salmon SuperHwy Project. Inspired by the crystal clear waters of the six Tillamook County rivers benefitting from the Salmon SuperHwy Project, Five Fin is a uniquely “West Coast” take on the classic Pilsner beer style. Crafted with a unique blend of Centennial and Sterling hops from the Pacific Northwest and Mandarina Bavaria hops from Germany, Five Fin marries the hop-driven flavors of tangerine, pineapple, and lemon zest with classic spicy, floral notes, all balanced against a toasty malt character.
This IPA is sure to ruffle some feathers and send true hop-heads looking for cover. To get us through the rainy season in the Pacific Northwest, we’ve brewed a New-World India Pale Ale using exclusively Australian grown Ella hops. The use of Ella hops offers an aroma that is filled with gooseberry and bright fruit. The fresh and zippy Ella hops are nicely balanced by a clean and light pale malt character. We’ve liberally dry hopped Umbrella twice to add to its distinct and complex flavors. Go on, reach for an Umbrella and let it pour.
Midnight black color and rich dark-roasted aroma. Specially blended hops combine with flaked unmalted barley to give this brew a full body and a dense creamy head. All elements combine in a solid, lingering finish.
