This convivial beer is a deep copper color and boasts smoothness and complexity. A strong ale aged in various port, sherry, wine, or liquor barrels, it boasts big malt flavor with caramel and chocolate notes, with plenty of dark fruit and pecan-like nuttiness as well. There’s also a wonderful tangy flavor that only comes from time, love, and old Belgian secrets. Be careful though! This Abbot is jolly, but he hides the alcohol well behind balanced flavors and complex aromas.
Party Jamz is our series of kettle sours aged on fruitz that you can get down with! Blood orange and fruity hops dance over a kettle soured pale ale, fermented with native wild yeast.
We are very proud of this beer, and named it after the stunningly beautiful Stickney Brook in nearby Dummerston. 10 months of oak-barrel aging over sour cherries produced an exceedingly dry, deeply complex, and bitingly tart beer with a multi-layered balance of cherry, vanilla and toffee. This is not a lambic, but it's as close as we've come.
Inspired by the town of Brattleboro, the unique sour ale captures the best of local flavors. Brattlebeer is slightly tart, light bodied and dry with both fruity and malty undertones, and a rocky, champagne-like head. Fermented spontaneously with a blend of local apple cider, malt, and hops, this delicate pale ale pairs well with soft cheeses and herbal entrees, and often compliments seasonal fruit desserts.
