A collaboration with Wiley Roots Brewing Company. Sitting down with the fine folks from Wiley Roots is always a great time. As brewers, we both tend to color outside the lines: we forge our own path to create unique, flavorful, and interesting beers. For our newest collaboration we started with a style we both know well: a New England Style IPA. And because we thrive on a foray into the unknown (and unconventional), we used a US Provoak hop addition. Provoak is a special blend of hops and toasted white oak. The toasted white oak powder blend adds a unique complexity to the flavor and aroma to this IPA. Massive amounts of Nelson and Sabro hops in the dry hop create the flavors of fresh coconut, ripe mango, and crisp gooseberry notes
The beach is calling and our margarita gose will take you there! Inspired by Jimmy Buffett's 'A Salty Piece of Land', this adventurous concoction will take you from the rivers of the Rocky Mountains to the seas of the Caribbean. The gose style is refreshing and drinkable; lightly sour, lightly salty, and full of flavor - just what you want after hiking a 14er or dropping your main sail. Forget about that lost shaker of salt; we brewed our margarita gose to bring some of the beach to you with Makrut lime leaves, sea salt, and lime zest. This beer is a touch salty and a lot limey.
This carrot cake kettle sour is a collaboration with Tattered Flag Brewery and Still Works in Pennsylvania. This brewery is veteran owned and operated and we appreciate their military level of precision in brewing and their burgeoning sour program with unique ingredients. The mission: creating a beer that has characteristics similar to carrot cake. Difficulty level: high. Too much or too little of any ingredient could throw the balance off entirely. Our approach: simple Berliner Weisse base with pilsner malt, wheat malt, and a touch of oats. Carrot cake simulation: 100 lbs. of carrot juice, rich dark brown sugar, golden molasses, and lactose. Restrained usage of nutmeg and cinnamon
