“Some things are better left on the shelf. This isn’t one of them. We hope you fall in love with this blueberry-kissed rye porter that made us fall in love with beer again.” Cheers, Jason Gordon & Misty Brown Brewed with rye and blueberries, this American Porter was brewed especially for Jason Gordon & Misty Brown to benefit Mitchell Elementary School.
Pours deep orange in color with aromas of buttered pie crust, roasted pumpkin, and a melange of pumpkin pie spices. Medium bodied with flavors of caramel and roasted pumpkin notes and an underpinning of floral hop bitterness that leads into a harmonious blend of pumpkin pie spice. Finishes with drying alcohol heat that creates a balance with caramel in the finish.
In honor of the 25th Anniversary of the Skatepark of Tampa, SPoT and Cigar City Brewing teamed up to create this crisp, refreshing lager with notes of lime, orange and salt that can be enjoyed right after a skate session or anytime you’re celebrating with friends.
Inspired by traditional German lagers, our Tampa-style Lager is brewed with German malted barley, Hallertauer hops and an authentic Bavarian lager yeast. We combine these ingredients to create a style that’s quite unique to our hometown of Tampa, Florida but will find admirers wherever a crisp, dry and flavorful lager is called for. Familiar to generations, it’s truly a beer that’s made for drinkin’.
The Last Spike refers to the ceremonial final spike driven to connect the rails of the First Intercontinental Railroad, connecting the East and West together in 1869. Cigar City Brewing Coronado Brewing Co. have teamed up 144 years later to celebrate that momentous union. By taking from the beginnings of a California-born style of beer and incorporating an American IPA spin, we offer a more robust and hop-forward version of a California Common. This beer has moderate notes of sweet toasted bread with a caramel background that is contrasted by traditional woody notes of Northern Brewer hops, pine notes from Chinook with supplementing white grapefruit notes from Pacific Jade. Prepare your palate for a full-flavored twist to an American craft brewing tradition. Cheers!
Since 2009, Cigar City Brewing’s Wayne Wambles and his team of intrepid brewers have experimented with additions of Spanish Cedar, the same wood used to make the world’s finest cigar humidors, in an innovative collection of beers called The Humidor Series. The most popular of these beers, Humidor Series IPA, is being reintroduced to the world in 2020 through an embrace of the essence of its unmistakable citrus-forward hop profile, the Jai Alai IPA recipe. The same beer you loved as Humidor Series IPA is now ready to expand your notions of wood-rested ales as Spanish Cedar Jai Alai IPA.
Is the Space Pope reptilian? That question remains to be answered but in the meantime we have his eponymous IPA to consider. Brewed with an astronomical amount of Mosaic, Citra, CTZ and (what else?) Galaxy hops that lend notes of passionfruit and melon to the clean flavors of base malt and a touch of crystal malt for depth of character. When your ecclesiastical jurisdiction encompasses the entire universe, only Cigar City’s Space Pope IPA will do!
Tampa’s Cigar City Brewing has teamed up with Massachusetts’ Grammy-nominated heavy metal band Killswitch Engage to brew an American IPA in honor of the 15th anniversary of the release of their seminal metalcore album “Alive or Just Breathing”. Featuring bassist Mike D’Antonio’s signature artwork on the label, “Alive or Just Brewing” celebrates a landmark album and a classic style of beer. Loaded with Citra, Mosaic, Motueka and Neslon Sauvin hops, this unique beer style uses white wheat and flaked oats to add additional body resulting in a full, juicy hop experience. What better beer style to celebrate the New England band’s aggressive and innovative brand of metal than an aggressive and innovative take on an American IPA! The release of Cigar City and Killswitch Engage’s Alive or Just Brewing IPA will coincide with the release of an LP version of “Alive or Just Breathing” hitting stores in May 2017.
