Spritzy, green strawberry, floral, crisp
We always wanted to make a year-round German-style Pilsner. Both because it tastes great and it’s a favorite of ours. We import bagged German Pilsner malt and manually add 3,300 pounds to each batch because we believe that’s what it takes to make a great German pilsner. We source all Hallertau Hersbrucker hops, which we prize for their mix of floral and “Noble” notes. Then we wait. This beer is unfiltered, so we rely on natural lagering techniques (i.e. long times and cold temperatures) to get this beer as bright as sunshine.
2X - Dry Hopped Breakside India Pale Ale. What could be more Portland than two homegrown brands working together to create Portland's favorite type of beer? We've teamed up with the folks at @Portland Gear to bring you this special variant of our flagship IPA recipe. we've taken our two standard bearer IPAs -- Wanderlust and Breakside IPA -- and brought elements of each into this new release. Beyond the IPA mash up, we've doubled down on our dry hop in this beer, splitting our aroma charge into two separate additions and adding in some extra varietals and weight to give the beer even more punch than normal. One taste and you'll be proud to live in this city that truly is Beervana, USA.
Formerly a collaboration with Ninkasi Brewing. IGA highlights the route that lots of new hop bombs are headed: light in body, lighter in color, and HUGE in citrus flavor and aroma. India Golden Ale or I.G.A. is a showcase for two relatively new hops, Mosaic and Eldorado. Mosaic gives the beer a bright mix of stonefruit and tropical flavors along with a big piney backbone. Eldorados are fruity and soften the finish. Breakside keeps the malt bill incredibly simple to allow the hops to take center stage in this elegant and beguiling beer. 8.1% ABV 60 IBU malts: 2 Row, British Munich hops: Mosaic, Eldorado, Chinook
An award-winning double IPA that bridges the world between hazy and non-hazy IPAs, classic hop varietals and newfangled ones. Originally developed at our Dekum pub in 2015, HDM is double dry hopped with Azacca and Citra hops, while the So Cal trinity of Amarillo, Simcoe, and Columbus anchor down the kettle and whirlpool. The intense hop character comes across as juicy and dank with big notes of orange marmalade, mango and Fruit Loops.
