West Coast inspired, kettle hopped with Cascade for just enough bitter backbone to balance sweetness. Dry hopped with Citra & Cascade.
This New England-style hop bomb was inspired by BHZ friend and neighbor Tom Powers, owner of the Union Brewhouse—which has been serving the best in local craft beer since 1996. Back in October of 2017, the BHZ team headed down the street to raise a few pints and talk to Tom about beers he loves. As the evening came to a close, our brewers drew up the recipe for this DIPA on a beer-stained napkin. The handwriting may have been difficult to decipher the next morning, but the ideas came through loud & clearly.
The brew is a tribute from brewer Chris Dion to all things hoppy. This IPA pays respect to New England-style IPAs with distinct juiciness. West Coast-style come through with balanced bitterness.
