Baron Philippe de Rothschild selects each terroir for the specific characteristics it brings to Mouton Cadet. The limestone and gravelly clay soils of the Côtes de Bordeaux impart density and structure, while the clay-limestone soils of the Bordeaux appellation give the wine its fruit and roundness.

TASTING NOTES
ASPECT: An intense garnet red with a slight crimson hue
NOSE: The nose opens on a mixture of black and red fruit, especially blackberry, bilberry and candied cherry, then with airing goes
on to display delicate touches of spice and blackcurrant.
PALATE: From a round and rich attack on fresh fruit flavors such as bilberry, blackcurrant and cherry, the mid-palate reveals powerful but beautifully tannins, leading into an attractively fresh finish on notes of mild spice, especially cinnamon and vanilla.

Prime rib, lamb shoulder, duck magret with green pepper sauce.
