The Escudo Rojo Gran Reserva is a fine blend of traditional grape varieties grown in our own vineyard. The Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Syrah, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc grapes are selected by our technical team and vinified in the Baron Philippe de Rothschild Maipo Chile bodega. Year after year, that subtle combination yields a round, complex and concentrated wine with attractively expressive fruit. 44% Cabernet Sauvignon 39% Carmenere 11% Syrah 4% Petite Verdot 2% Cabernet Franc AGEING: 12 months with 100% of the wine in barrels. 25% new and 75% 1- 2 year old barrels TASTING NOTES: Concentrated ripe red and black fruits, on the attack, spicy finish with elegant caramel and mocha notes.
