This wine is a real original. If an alarm bell is ringing in your head, then that is probably a good intuition, because authentic, regional wines not made for foreign tastes often times are not for everyone. However, if you are curious about why 50% of vinho verde production is actually red wine produced for local consumption, I would suggest giving this a try to see what it's all about. Bone dry, fizzy, cherry fruited , slightly funky/rustic, and low alcohol.
