Marlborough, New Zealand
This wine is made with fruit from both the Awatere and Wairau Valleys. A deep Pinot with earthy aromas of thyme, red cherries and blackcurrants and flavors of vanilla-laced berries and toasted oak. Showing velvety tannins, this wine was aged for 10 months in a mixture of new and seasoned French oak barriques. A versatile varietal, it pairs well with roast chicken, duck confit and cheddar cheese. Best served at cellar temperature.
