Didier Meuzard Marc de Bourgogne

Didier Meuzard is a distillateur ambulant—a walking distiller. During harvest season, he takes his still to the Burgundian villages of the Côtes de Nuits such as Chambolle-Musigny, Vosne-Romanée, Gevrey-Chambertin, and Morey Saint-Denis. Didier is one of the few distillers given the right to tow his still through these prestigious vineyards. The wine producers bring him their fresh musts and freshly fermented wine that he pours into his traditional portable copper alembic that dates back to 1902 for distillation on site. The brandies are then aged in oak casks for decades.
