Aged 11 years and bottled at 111 proof, it is a powerful spirit available in extremely limited quantities—only 1100 cases hit the market. Now out of production, TripleOne has become a sought-after collector’s item. Tasted neat, TripleOne unleashes waves of spice upon entry, with ginger backed by intense wood notes. Add a few drops of water, and the spiciness takes a half-step back, giving way to a very surprising, and forward, note of Calvados. With a few more drops of water, leather and burnt orange emerge, with dark chocolate developing late. The finish is long and clean, with gobs of caramel, butterscotch, and vanilla.
