When she launched it in 1991, Estelle Dauré was looking for a name that was easy to remember, evoking its "lightness". During a family reunion, the Jaja de Jau stood out.
The creation of the label was entrusted to the artist Ben, friend of Sabine Dauré, who had exhibited in the contemporary art space of the Château de Jau. Since then, the concept has been applied to sommelier aprons worn by the service staff at the Château de Jau grill, on coolers and other wine-related accessories.
