Pol Roger Brut Réserve displays a beautiful golden straw colored hue, as well as abundant and fine bubbles. With a powerful and attractive nose, it first delivers aromas of fruit and then releases light flavors of honeysuckle and white jasmine, lingering on vanilla and brioche notes. Behind a frank and dynamic attack, the wine encompasses a nice harmony and a pleasant freshness, whilst preserving some structure. On the palate, flavors of cooked fruit (quince jelly, apricot jam) happily mingle with fragrances of beeswax and acacia honey. The long-lasting aromas, composed of both fruity (candied orange peel, tangerine...) and spicy notes (cardamom, anise) is outstanding.
The structure and vinosity, elegance and freshness, captured in this Brut Réserve offer an optimum balance between power and finesse, making it a remarkable wine to be served as an apéritif, or to accompany a whole meal.
An impressively rich, dry style from one of the oldest and most distinguished Champagne houses. Pol Roger Brut is perfect both as an occasion wine or for impromptu celebrations.
Pol Roger Brut Réserve NV “White Foil” is the house’s most well-known champagne. The champagne is famous for being served at all the Royal Weddings, Meghan and Harry, Kate and William, as well as the wedding of Eugenie and Jack. Before that, Pol Roger was Sir Winston Churchill’s favorite champagne, they even named their top wine or tête de cuvée after him.
The Pol Roger house is always focused on quality, starting with growing and sourcing the best fruit in Champagne to the blending and aging. The grapes for the cuvée sourced from top quality vineyards in Montagne de Reims (Pinot Noir), Vallée de la Marne and Petite Vallé d’Epernay (Pinot Meunier) and the Côte des Blancs (Chardonnay). To blend the cuvée a select circle of family members gathers to complete this complex task every year. Each bottle is aged over three times the legal requirement before release. That combined with the deep and cool cellars, ensure all their Champagne is complex with the finest “prise de mousse.”
About the Brand:
Founded in 1849, Pol Roger is one of only a few Grande Marque Champagne houses that remains family owned and operated. Having among the deepest (100 feet below ground) and coolest (48°F) cellars in Champagne provide perfect conditions for the “prise de mousse” (the development of the Champagne in bottle and the “finesse” of the “bead” or bubble) and for the long-ageing of the Champagne in bottle. All their Champagnes are aged longer than the legal requirement to add more complexity and fine bubbles in every bottle.

"The wine wafts from the glass with an alluring bouquet of green apple, brioche, pastry cream and buttered toast. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, impressively layered and complete, with a crisp but fleshy core of fruit, a youthfully frothy mousse and bright acids, concluding with a delicately chalky finish. This is one of the very finest—as well as among the most consistent—non-vintage brut bottlings from any of the Grandes Marques, and this release comes very warmly recommended. While it will be drinkable on release, it will reward some bottle age too." William Kelley, Wine Advocate, 92 points
