Tantalus Juveniles Chardonnay

Our Juveniles Chardonnay is a pure expression of our youngest block of plantings – styled to be fruit-forward and approachable. The nose is classic Chardonnay with aromas of jasmine, Fuji apple, lemon rind and fresh oyster shell. The palate is lush and full with a wonderfully bright acidity. Lemon verbena, crushed oats, quince paste with toasty almond and butter notes are all wrapped up with a hallmark Tantalus minerality. All sourced from our single vineyard estate, our young gun Chardonnay block was handpicked and vinified in small lots using entirely wild fermentation. The wine was crafted in a combination of stainless steel and neutral barrels, this ensured the purity of the fruit was maintained with just a wisp of oak present. At only 6 years old, this young vineyard is already showing incredible potential and we are very excited to see the site evolve and develop over the next 20 years.
