Vincent Dampt Petit Chablis

Vincent Dampt Petit Chablis is an excellent introduction to this world-renowned appellation in Burgundy, showing off the natural beauty of the Chardonnay grape. Vincent Dampt continues his family tradition of cultivating the vine. After studying in Beaune and working with Olivier Leflaive in Puligny-Montrachet, he trained in Marlborough, New Zealand before taking over his family's 6 hectares of vineyards in Chablis. Their plot of Petit Chablis is located on a plateau above the town of Chablis-Fyé. Here the soil is Portlandian, containing dense hard limestone and clay. Vincent Dampt Petit Chablis is soft yellow in color with a tangy nose of green apples, citrus and mineral notes. Medium-full in body with crisp acidity, the wine offers flavors of apples, citrus and spice, with no oak. It is well balanced and ready to be enjoyed now and over the next 4-5 years. The wine has nice length and complexity on the finish.
