Fans of Sonoma Cabernet know that Chalk Hill is one of the best places in California to grow world class wines. Occupying the northeast corner of the larger Russian River Valley, Chalk Hill is named for its unique, volcanically-derived, chalky white ash soils.
Our Block 831 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is grown at higher elevations on the western part of Chalk Hill, imparting dense aromas of dark chocolate with beautiful blackberry and cassis notes on the palate. You could pay $50 or more for the same wine in a different bottle!
