What a pretty nose this brooding beauty has. The deep ruby color, combined with the wonderful initial aromatics promises some excitement to follow. It abounds with complex fruity and spicy notes of Cabernet and its related varieties. To simply say it’s fruity and spicy, however, doesn’t really do it justice. It’s complexity is where the intrigue lies. Fruity can be found almost anywhere but the flavor and degree of richness is also very important. After all, we don’t just sniff wine, we drink it.
“Wow” best describes what you taste. A very rich but balanced, full extract but not harsh, and very long sweet after-taste linger in the mouth. This is very good stuff. An acclaimed wine reviewer has dubbed it immortal and, indeed, I agree that is has a long life ahead but it is also really delicious now. A beauty while young, but still sensuous with age.
